Getting started
Create your account, set up two-factor authentication, add your first company, and get numbers flowing — from your accounting system, a CSV, or sample data — in about five minutes.
What Pocket-CFO does
Pocket-CFO gives an owner-led business the monthly picture a CFO would: cash, margin, runway, and growth, with plain-English explanations of what changed and what to watch. It connects to the accounting system you already use, reads your books, calculates every figure itself, and uses AI only to explain those figures in words.
If you are an accountant, bookkeeper, or fractional CFO looking after several companies, start with Pocket-Advisor instead.
Create your account
- Go to pocketcfo.rippre.com/register.
- Enter your Email and a strong Password, and optionally a Firm or workspace name.
- Accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then select Register.
- Open the confirmation email and follow the link. If it hasn’t arrived, select Resend on the confirmation screen.
Signing up creates your own organization, with you as its owner. Everyone you invite later joins it.
Set up two-factor authentication
After confirming your email you’ll be asked to set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app. This isn’t optional: every request for your financial data requires it. Save your recovery codes when they’re shown — they’re how you get back in if you lose your phone. See Set up two-factor authentication.
Add your first company
The setup wizard opens next. Under Add your first client, enter the Client company name — the business whose numbers you want to see — and, optionally, its Industry, which is used to tailor your compliance obligations. Select Create client.
Get data flowing
The wizard then offers three ways to get numbers in:
- Connect accounting (about 2 minutes)
- Link QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, FreshBooks, Wave, or Sage Intacct. This is the path you want for real numbers. See Connect your accounting system.
- Import numbers from CSV (about 3 minutes)
- Bring in monthly figures from a spreadsheet using the dashboard importer.
- Explore with sample data (about 30 seconds)
- Fill the company with twelve months of illustrative figures so you can see every screen working. A banner marks sample data everywhere it appears, and Clear sample data removes it. Sample data can’t be added to a company that has ever had an accounting connection, so real and invented numbers never mix.
You can also choose I’ll do this later and go straight to your dashboard.
During the closed beta
Pocket-CFO is in closed beta. Some features are switched on account by account; if one isn’t enabled for you yet, the app says so rather than failing silently. Ask the Pocket-CFO team if you need something switched on.
