Connect

1. Open Integrations, or select Connect in the top bar.
2. Find your system’s card and select Connect — for example Connect QuickBooks.
3. You’ll be taken to your provider’s sign-in page. Sign in and approve access for Pocket-CFO, and you’ll be brought back automatically.

Sage Intacct works differently: instead of a sign-in page, enter your Company ID, User ID, User password, and optionally an Entity/location ID. They’re encrypted before they’re stored and never sent back to your browser.

If a card says it isn’t enabled for your workspace, that system hasn’t been switched on for your account yet during the closed beta — ask the Pocket-CFO team.

Run your first sync

Select Sync now. The sync reads your accounts and figures, then calculates your metrics. It may carry on in the background — you’ll see “Sync started — running in the background” — and you can keep working meanwhile.

Syncing is manual: Pocket-CFO reads your books when you ask it to, so select Sync now whenever you want the latest figures. If you haven’t synced in seven days, the dashboard reminds you with a Stale data card.

Check your numbers are ready

1. Look at the status card at the top of the dashboard. Synced with warnings means some data couldn’t be read — the card says what.
2. Open Review account mappings and confirm the accounts waiting for review. This is the step that makes your numbers right.
3. Watch Data confidence rise as your mappings are confirmed.

If something goes wrong

• A sync fails. Nothing you already had is deleted; your previous figures stay until a sync succeeds. Try Refresh status, then Sync now again.
• Your Xero login covers several organizations. Pocket-CFO stops rather than guessing which one you meant, so no one else’s books are read by mistake.
• You want to stop syncing. Select Disconnect, and also remove Pocket-CFO from your provider’s connected apps. See Connections and syncing.
